65th Anniversary Celebration:
“Best Anniversary Event” Competition

The purpose of the competition is to allow students to showcase their expertise and creativity in celebrating the school's 65th anniversary with diversity, and to let them shine in their own unique ways.

Clubs and societies are compulsory to join. Vertical Houses, Students' Union, Class Associations and any other self-organized parties are welcome to join. Feel free to form a group with your friends to join.

01 Sept - 14 Sept 2023 (T1 application)
22 Jan - 05 Feb 2024 (T2 application)

1. Design an event related to the 65th anniversary theme of "Connect and Shine".

2. Fill out the Google form by either 14 Sept (for T1) or 5 Feb (for T2), to provide the group list, organization (if any), and a brief description of the event you would like to organize, and so as a budget plan if you are a self-organized party.

3. For self-organized parties, submit a proposal and budget plan to the Best Anniversary Event Committee for assessment and approval.

4. Execute the event you proposed to celebrate the 65th anniversary of MC in a creative and unique way.

5. Edit a 1-2 minute video summarizing the event and including some reflections after the execution.

6. The IMC panel will assess the entries and make a decision on the winners 

There are three awards to recognize the efforts of the teams, and a $1500 catering cash coupon will be awarded to each winning team which can be shared among the committee members.

1. Most Creative Award
Rubrics: Recognizing exceptional creativity and innovative thinking in organizing and planning activities related the school anniversary

2. Anniversary Theme Award
Recognizing clubs that best capture the essence of the 65th anniversary theme of ‘Connect’ and ‘Shine’ through originality, relevance, and creative interpretation

3. Best Engagement Award
Rubrics: Recognizing outstanding engagement, participation, and interaction in the events by demonstrating a high level of interest, enthusiasm, and community involvement 

1. For clubs and societies, expenditures will be reimbursed from their own budget. If you want to make a request for an extra budget, please state it clearly in the Google Form and await approval from the committee members.

2. For clubs and societies, the form should be filled out by a committee member for the 2023-2024 year, preferably the chairperson.

3. For self-organized parties, groups can make a budget request for all expenditures to be reimbursed, and there is a maximum budget of $500 for each event. The final decision on reimbursement will be made by the Best Anniversary Event Committee members and on a first-come-first-serve basis.

4. If you would like to organize more than one event, please fill out a separate Google form for each event.
