The 60th Anniversary Documentary Film

<< 循‧情 >> “Love ‧ Eternity”

On this wonderful occasion of our 60th anniversary, we have commissioned alumnus Mr. Brian Hung to capture the vibrancy of the present and the rich history of the past of Methodist College in sights and sounds. This masterpiece has taken Brian and his crew more than one year’s time to shoot, going as far as the UK. Venture with us into the reminiscence of our former teachers and alumni from various decades, whose days in the College reflect the changes not only of the College, but also of the Hong Kong society around us. Re-live the school days by having a glimpse of our current school life, and, most important of all, hold tight to this bond of love which has brought us all here together, in the grace of God.

< Director Brian during one of the          shootings

It is our pleasure to have one of our alumni, Mr. Brian Hung Kwong-yin of the Class of 1998, to be the director of this 60th Anniversary Documentary Film Love Eternity.

Before he started his career, Mr. Hung studied in the School of Film and Television of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree with first-class honours. He then further pursued his studies at New York University and obtained a Master’s Degree in Studio Art: Art in Media.

Currently, Mr. Hung is a lecturer for the Division of Design and Social Sciences in Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Apart from that, he is also active in creative industries, including film, advertising and music video production. In particular, one of the short films he produced, “Uptown Downtown”, received a jury award at the 39th Worldfest Houston International Film Festival in the United States. RTHK (Radio Television Hong Kong) commissioned him to direct his latest work, “Those Unseen Hands” in the documentary series programme – “Angel on Earth”. A film he has recently directed, “Walled Village”, received the Remi Award at the 51st Worldfest Houston International Film Festival, which is a great achievement.

Brian’s father is also our graduate, and his son is currently a student in Methodist School.
