Fundraising Results of the Concert ‘Our Youth, Our Songs’ ‹ BACK
To share the fruits of the School Choir’s hard work and raise money for the cost of participating in the upcoming Tokyo International Choir Competition, the pre-tour and fundraising concert ‘Our Youth, Our Songs’ was successfully held at Methodist International Church on 10 May 2019. Over 250 guests including our school supervisor Dr. Raymond Chen, school principal Ms Emily Wong and the principal of Methodist School Ms Maria Lam, attended the concert. The concert featured a wide range of songs of different styles and the amusing performance of the choir was highly appreciated by the guests and audience.

With the enormous support from our alumni, teaching staff, parents and other friends of Methodist College, we are very thrilled to announce that we have raised a total of HKD$200,536. With this donation as well as the support from the parents, our whole team of 36 choir members from different family backgrounds can achieve their dream to participate in the Tokyo International Choir Competition in July. The 6-day Tokyo music trip will be from 25 July to 30 July 2019. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all donors for their huge support, especially to our major donors Mr. Ko Kam Tim, Dr. Ko Chun Yu, Dr. Tsoi Chi Wah Danny and Mr. Chow On Kin Johnny. Without the support from all donors and guests who attended the concert, it would not be possible for our choir members to have the valuable opportunity to share their music and learn from other international choirs.

A big round of applause goes to the devoted choir members for their effort, and to the student helpers who ensured the smooth running of the concert. We wish our school choir a wonderful experience in their very first international competition.
