"Scrooge" is coming to Methodist College! ‹ BACK
On Dec.22nd, the form 5 Drama class, will be presenting, "Scrooge" at 9 a.m. in the Church.

"Scrooge", or "A Christmas Carol" is a Christmas classic which dates back to 1843. It was written by British author Charles Dickens, who was an advocate for social issues.

The main character, Scrooge is a miserly, lonely, old man who has more money than he knows what to do with - mainly because he never gave to charity or helped those in need. He also did not believe in sharing his good fortune. Throughout the course of the story and after visits from three spirits, Scrooge realizes that charity and generosity are a much more attractive way of life rather than hoarding all of his money for his own use. He realizes he can keep the spirit of Christmas alive all year long by following these principles.

In a happy irony, the 1000 students attending the performance will be given a chance to make a donation to "Operation Santa Claus" after viewing the production.
