Sports Day - a Memorable Occasion for All ‹ BACK
On October 3rd and 9th, the Sham Shui Po Sports Ground blossomed in explosions of red, green, orange, yellow and blue as respective house members flooded the spectator stand. After months of preparation and innovative ideas, our hard work began to make headway. In vibrant parades and on the spectator stand, house flags were hoisted high and banners unfolded, cartoon mascots and even a dragon from its fiery den joined in for the annual Sports Day.

The two days were each blessed with beautiful sunny weather that excellently boosted the mood of competitors. Sporting events included various sprints and relays, long jump and high jump, javelin and hurdles, which our schoolmates actively took part in earning the support from vigorously cheering spectators.

After intense competition among the houses for the Best Cheering Team, it was finally awarded on the last day to the members of our yellow house, the Form 5 Long Sheh. ‘We did a lot for this and we all know that this is just the beginning. We will continue our journey and repeat the feat next year,’ Natalie Lau told us on behalf of her house.

In the Sports Days this year we witnessed countless victorious moments and exploits of great sportsmanship and determination. We witnessed our school come together and pave opportunities for our champions.
In fact, for all our hard work and keen participation, we all deserved to be champions at the end of these two days.
And indeed, we look forward to many more such wonderful experiences in the years to come.
