2015-2016 Exchange Students of Methodist College ‹ BACK
Bonjour, I’m Max Loizeau Radwan, from the mountains somewhere in the south of France. I’ve come here as part of the AFS exchange program, because Methodist College gives foreign students the chance to study within its walls each year.

I’ve been here for one month and I think I already know some of you because of my electives lessons with different classmates but anyway, we will have plenty of time to get to know each other in the coming months.

I actually live with my host parents and my host brothers, Erwin and David in Sham Tseng, in the New Territories. My family life, in the same way as my school life, is probably one of the greatest and most intense experiences in my whole life. Although I can never forget where I come from, the experience here is a way to advance in my life, my achievements and my future projects.

So, let me introduce myself. I was born on a snowy Thursday, 17th of December, in 1998. I grew up in a little town with my twin sister, Anna, and my parents, in a place really different from Hong Kong, one where you usually know everyone and all about their lives. You always need to take a car, even to go to school, because we haven’t any shuttle bus or train to travel otherwise.

I especially like skiing, climbing and spending a lot of time with my friends. In France, I’m in the equivalent of Form 6, which is an exam year for us too. I have decided to come to Hong Kong to discover a new culture and a different way of life, because I think that it’s really important to live life fully and to discover the world while we are still young.

I’m really happy to be here, with all of you for this school year. On the one hand, my host family and my new buddies at school are more considerate and kind to me than I could ever imagine, but on the other hand, I always have my own family and my best friends to support me. Thank you to my classmates, my teachers, my host family, my friends, my family and especially Methodist College for giving me the chance to live this adventure. Looking forward to getting to know more about all of you!

All the best,
Max

Hi, my name is Giulia but my friends usually call me Giù. I come from Italy, specifically from Sicily, the island in the south. I have now been in Hong Kong for a bit more than a month. It is a short time if I compare it with the other nine that wait for me! I have been a student in Methodist College since 1st September. My first day in this school wasn't one of the best of my life, because people were too shy and maybe didn't want to say the wrong thing to me, but after a month here I can say that in this school I have met a lot of beautiful people and that things are definitely better for me. I join the Sports Day, which was so amazing, because all the different houses cheered all the time without stopping, except for lunch! The students prepared slogans that we sang during the competitions, bracelets, little bells and a lot of other things. Yellow House unfortunately didn't win and for this reason I saw people cry. They put a lot passion and energy into all things that they did on that day. I want to thank 3W class for helping me during the first month here and also Mr. Sunny Wong, all teachers and the principal. I am expecting more wonderful experiences to come, with open arms!
