Donate blood, Save a life, Give others a second chance ‹ BACK
The Bible reminds us to love others as you love yourself. Some people who are not as fortunate will be grateful to those who donate blood. On 7thOctober, our school’s Red Cross team partnered with the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion programme to hold the annual blood donation in our school. Many of our students and teachers participated in this charitable event, which took place at our school’s Lower Hall.

There were many first-time donors who said that they felt nervous because of the process and the needles. They also felt uncomfortable during the procedure. Despite everything, they soldiered on, since they decided that the brief discomfort was worth it if can save lives.

Many teachers also donated blood to serve as a role model for us. Among those, we were delighted to have Mr. Lam, our vice-principal, to give us a few words about blood donation. He said that this was the 40th time for him to donate blood. This demonstrated the charitable spirit of helping others. He also reminded all of us to help people in need whenever possible.

Our contributions don’t need to be extravagant or heroic to be significant. A simple act can do a multitude of good. ‘Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of the believers’
(Gal 6:10)
