Sports Day – A Memorable Day for All ‹ BACK
On September 9th and 10th, the annual Sports Day was held in Sham Shui Po Sports Ground. Filled with the colours of orange, yellow, red, blue and green in both the spectator stands and on the field, the important event commenced under the cheering of every colour. Our principal, Miss Wong, not only hoped that the students in a house could be connected, but also all students as a whole could join hands together and be united as one.
The two day event was blessed with sunny weather, ensuring that each competition was carried out smoothly, as cheers boomed from the spectator stands. A wide variety of sports events, ranging from sprints, relays and hurdles to long and high jump, were taken part by our schoolmates enthusiastically.
After the thrilling competitions, it was Green House who won the cheering prize and house champion. Congratulations to Green House and all the prize winners! Having prepared hard and made great effort since the summer holiday, each house has tried their best in both cheering and partaking in different track and field events. No matter if we have won prizes or not, we have at least enjoyed the process and understood the importance of sportsmanship and unity.
Though we were reluctant to bid farewell to the two memorable days, the 2015 Sports Day has come to the end. But one thing I do know, letting go of those things which are past, and reaching out to the things which are to come, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Encouraged by our big brother in the closing ceremony, not only will we strive to excel ourselves in the Sports Day next year, but also we will get ourselves well-prepared for the new school term ahead.
